| 英文描述 | Scoliosis is a lateral deviation of the vertebral column. Horses developed an acquired cervical scoliosis related to a unilateral inflammatory lesion of the dorsal grey column extending over many cervical or cervical and thoracic spinal cord segments. Animals that had been normal developed scoliosis that could be acute in onset or progess over a few days or weeks. Affected animals have been from 5 months to 3 years of age and of different breeds and sexes. Once scoliosis was present no clinical improvement was seen. A parasite resembling PARAELAPHOSTRONGYLUS TENUIS was described in the lesion of one of the horses, and might be the cause of this conditon. |
